Song Choice: Flowers In Your Hair by The Lumineers
Synopsis (on the back of the book): Sonny Ardmore is an excellent liar. She lies about her dad being in prison. She lies about her mom kicking her out. And she lies about sneaking into her best friend’s house every night because she has nowhere else to go.
Amy Rush might be the only person Sonny shares everything with — secrets, clothes, even a nemesis named Ryder Cross.
Ryder’s the new kid at Hamilton High and everything Sonny and Amy can’t stand — a prep-school snob. But Ryder has a weakness: Amy. So when Ryder emails Amy asking her out, the friends see it as a prank opportunity not to be missed.
But without meaning to, Sonny ends up talking to Ryder all night online. And to her horror, she realizes that she might actually like him. Only there’s one small catch: he thinks he’s been talking to Amy. So Sonny comes up with an elaborate scheme to help Ryder realize that she’s the girl he’s really wanted all along. Can Sonny lie her way to the truth, or will all her lies end up costing her both Ryder and Amy?
Review: DROP EVERYTHING and just go and buy this book. This book has been on my TBR for like a super-duper long time. So like three months… But still. This story is Adorable and, AH! It’s just so beautiful! It made me laugh, cry, panic, and all the emotions that a story needs! It’s just such an awesome story! Also, my sweater matches this book, I’m so happy. How does that even happen I bought the sweater before I bought the book! I love the way she writes, it just has that cosy feeling, like John Green has. And i like how her writing really sucks you into the story. I feel like if was a character, I’d be Sonny and Amy mixed together. #Samy lol. It cured my reading slump, Woo! I really enjoyed this book. It’s just one of those stories that has stuck. You know that it’s a good book when you can’t stop thinking about it. And it has that nice fuzzy feeling, it’s a perfect fall read. So, yes it’s a good book! I really like that she put the characters from her previous books in this book It was such a nice addition. I haven’t read The DUFF yet, but I did watch the film. It’s only because I didn’t know that it was a book until after i watched it… i know right! *facepalm* I was so disappointed, I really wish i read it before i watched it… Fact, I still haven’t read it. So anyhow, I really, really like this book! Definitely one of my favorite reads of the year!
Thanks for reading, I hope you have/had a great day!
